Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Debra Saldaña Sharp is the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SCI, Inc..  While providing consulting and administrative services for qualified retirement plans to clients across Texas through her first company SCI, Inc., Debra identified a critical need among businesses to educate and empower both employers and employees to make informed decisions related to the retirement industry.  

In 2025, Debra launched 401(k)Focus to provide a SaaS solution for all businesses to provide critical solutions in managing their corporate retirement plans.  As in all industries, financial services has been uniquely affected by the swift changes in technology. 401(k)Focus provides a complete service for any company looking clear, strategic solution when managing their company retirement plan. The ongoing communication clients need to develop current strategies with all the current changes. benefit the Plan Sponsors and employees.

Understanding how updated legislation changes the retirement landscape, we provide analysis and strategies to help Employers navigate changes and manage expectations. Because 401(k)Focus is an independent consulting/advisory firm, companies receive technical expertise and know the solution took into consideration all aspects involved in managing a retirement plan.

In 2024, Debra completed the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania Executive Presence and Influence: Persuasive Leadership Development course. In February 2025, also completed the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania course on Revenue Analytics: Price Optimization.

In November 2017, Debra was appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to serve on the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.  The State Board of Public Accountancy protects the public by ensuring persons issued certificates as certified public accountants (CPAs) possess the necessary education, skills and capabilities, and they perform competently in the profession of public accountancy.  Debra also served as Chair of Constructive Enforcement Committee, serves on the Executive Committee and on the Behavioral Enforcement Committee.

Debra has over thirty years of experience in the financial services industry with a specialty in ERISA plans and has dedicated her professional career to ensuring development of strategies to serve all business types. Working within in a system is critical and being first to create strategies is where we excel. She is a credentialed member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA), is a past president of the Sterling Group in Houston, a current member of the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce, a member of Conroe Chamber of Commerce, a member of Beaumont Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the Board for Collaborative for Children and on the HR Committee.  Debra is a Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) certified through the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA).

A native of Houston, Debra graduated from the University of Houston with a B.S. in Business Administration.  She is a lecturer on and advocate for advanced strategies in financial services specializing in the retirement industry.
